ABOUT CENTRE FOR TALENT EXPRESSION
Having realized the high inflation in unemployment, low income, poverty, school dropped outs, child abuse, child labor, child trafficking etc... And for that reason, realizing the need to find an avenue to help, assist, support, and contribute to the helpless and the handicapped etc... By, at least, to bringing down some of these situations, the CENTRE FOR TALENT EXPRESSION has been established in Winneba and it is a non-racial, non-governmental and non-profit making establishment that provides FREE TRAINING to help and to assist the communities, especially the youth, the general public and anyone interested – to develop their knowledge and skills, also, to create a situation that would conceal the future embarrassments of their lives.
The Centre provides opportunities for
young boys and girls and even adults to excel their Talent.
HOW THE CENTRE WORKS & WHAT THE CENTRE OFFERS:
The Centre consists of the following programmes:
PROGRAMME I
1. MUSIC,

3. COMPUTER STUDIES,

PROGRAM II
4. COSMETOLOGY (Hair-Dressing)
5. FASHION DESIGNING TECHNOLOGY (Dressmaking)
6. HOSPITALITY AND CATERING MANAGEMENT (Cookery)
7. RECORDING STUDIO FOR MIDI & AUDIO (BOTH DEMO/MASTERING)
PROGRAM III
1. FURNITURE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION (Carpentry)
2. BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND TECHNOLOGY (Masonry)
3. WELDING AND FABRICATION TECHNOLOGY (Welding/Steel-Bending),
4. ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING (Electronics)
5. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY (General-Electrical)

PROGRAM IV-(COMPULSORY)
MUSIC & DANCE, SPORTS & GAMES.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICS AND GENERAL KNOWLEDGE.
Tuition/Training is mostly Practical and at the end of each of these programs,
we make sure that each student or candidate is capable of doing
something for his or her future.
EXTRA CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES:
BRASS BAND, DANCE BAND, DANCE ENSEMBLE, GOSPEL BAND, JAZZ BAND/DRAMA
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (MEMBERSHIP)
Training shall be FREE for both YOUNG & OLD;
Duration of Training on various areas of specialisation shall be 3 years
ACCREDITATION/CERTIFICATION/EXAMINATION:
The Centre prepares its Students for the following Examinations:
1. N.V.T.I. (NATIONAL VOCATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTE), GHANA
2. A.B.R.S.M (ASSOCIATION BOARD OF ROYAL SCHOOL OF MUSIC), LONDON
3. WASSCE (West African Senior School Certificate Examination), GHANA
4. CITY & GUILDS (City and Guilds of London Institute), LONDON
TIME TABLE: ACADEMIC CALENDER YEAR
The Centre operates within a Calendar of Two Semesters in an Academic Year:
Semester One: shall be from Sept/Oct.–March/April:
Semester Two: shall be from April-July/August.
With the benefit of all Public and National holidays.
THE CENTRE’S MISSION (Aims & Objectives)
The mission of the
Centre is to assist, support, and help the needy ones especially the young
boys
and girls who have:

(a) Finished Schools (Basic, Junior, and Senior
Schools) and could not continue to higher level.
(b) The school dropped-outs
(c) Children whose parents are not able to support them to get
their trade
(d) And even adults who could not find their ways out.
The Centre‘s main idea is to:
ii) provide a way for the Helpless to be Helpful,
iii) make the Hopeless to become Hopeful,
iv) the Useless to become Useful.
The Centre for Talent Expression is to serve as a Center, which will make sure that anyone who walks through its doors would be trained FREE of charge, to enable him or her:
a. to acquire a trade to become employable.
b. to be equipped with relevant production and entrepreneurial skills for self employment, either individually or in-groups;
